inquiry and revision
INQUIRY
Commission inquiries are done through several options. Please only communicate through ONE WAY so I can keep track of your order easily.
1. Instagram - Twitter DMs: Reach out to me through my Instagram/Twitter and I will reply as soon as possible!
2. Email: [email protected]What should be included in the inquiry?
- Style you want the work to appear in: I do manga - comic - semi-realistic art styles, so please choose one out of those three. Please reference my Artstation portfolio to have a better vision on what I do. Or better, also look at my social profiles to be more certain.
- Background info of the character. This can include their name, origin , age, gender (even non-binary is cool ! ), personality, weapons,...and most important of it all, background story! Not only will background story be informative in how I should interpret the character visually, but will also help me with having insights into how I build visual elements surrounding the illustrated character.
- Visual references. This may be hairstyle, outfit, tattoo design, weapon,... Be sure to include as much references as you can so we can work closely on how the end product will appear like.
- Purpose of the commission. For example, the commission will be printed for poster, making keychains/badges, etc. As I am only available for private commissions , I ask you not to inquire a commercial commission. I can refer you to other artists that might be interested in picking up your order, providing your preferences.
- Digital modification the end product should come in. This can be image in PNG, JPG/JPEG and PSD ( Adobe Photoshop File) format for further modification on your end. Do not however, plagiarize the end product and resell it.
- Size of the commission, which is dimensions (either pixel or metric), resolutions (72-350dpi ) and color workspace ( RGB /CMYK ). For those who aren't clear about what dimensions/orientation of the commission you want, I will be providing sketch mockups that you can decide on later for me to work with.
- Optional: Bonus arts for printing items such as stickers, keychains, standees ( personal/ commercial ). These will be accounted in pricing as a bundle or an individual commission. Negotiations for commercial use required.
REVISION
- You get 2 rounds of changes on the commissioned piece for free.
- From the 3rd revision onward, a fee will be added if you want something changed on the final artwork - unless a misunderstanding from my side has been made.
- If you wish for me to change something in the drawing you have previously approved, I will charge you a fee to change it ( Please refer to aforementioned points). The amount of the extra charge depends on how major the change you want me to make, starting from 10% minimum.
- If your references are unclear to start with, I will make an attempt to help you assess your desirable references. What do you get by commissioning me?
- Drafts/mockups/concepts that you are to decide which to work with for the final product (depending on the complexity, there might be fewer or more drafts)
- Finalized sketches that you must confirm to proceed working.
- Involvement in color planning.
- Updates on WIPs (Work-In-Progress) of the commissioned work, however, please don't ask too frequently like every day, since my workflow can be really slow depending on the complexity of the commissioned piece, and by asking too frequently, you are pressuring my productivity and the end result can be negatively affected.
- Full-resolution file ( issued in your inquiry, exported at 300DPI, sRGB color space) of final drawing and a smaller, reduced version for web upload. Format is usually PNG, however you can issue other export formats. I WILL NOT deliver PSD or work files unless it’s required to do so in a team collaboration.
queueing and delivery
Here's a quote to summarize the queue priority matter: "First come, first serve."Meaning that if you come later, you are usually behind someone on the queue, should it be the case.
I do not work with urgent commissions since I am a busy uni student, however, if your inquiry is reasonable enough for me to draw within your deadlines, I will inform you!
However, the duration/length of the work to be completed also depends on my health, the complexity of the commissioned piece as well as my schedule. Hence, I can rearrange commissions with complexity from low to high (meaning pieces with lower complexity will get first slot, then down to pieces with higher complexity ). All clients will be notified should the rearrangement takes place.Generic info on how long you'll get the pieces ( all subjected to queue priority and when I start working on them! )→ For sketch/flats commissions, please expect a wait time from a day to 2 weeks.
→ Emote commissions will be finished within a month or two, depending on workload.
→ Chibi/ bust commissions will be finished anywhere within one to two months.
→ Full body/Complex illustrations should take longer than two months.
→ Experimental illustrations commissions should take longer than 6 months.Once the piece is finished you will receive the full-resolution image in various digital forms (must be issued in your inquiry and discussed in private) , not watermarked. Note that there is no physical product for digital artwork, unless you request a print, which will be counted towards the total sum as separate item(s).Should the work being a traditional artwork in traditional medium and you prefer the original work to be sent to you, please notify me and we will work in private about how it should be delivered physically.
If the traditional work is scanned and delivered digitally, info on how payment should be done for it (in this case, Paypal) is in the category below.
